Is the player banned on another anti-cheat provider?
When a player arrives on your server for the first time, your own archive most likely knows nothing about them. The real question is: have they already been caught somewhere else?
Alongside its own ban archive, Argos queries other anti-cheat providers’ networks. So you can tell the difference between "no record with us" and "no record anywhere". That distinction is what a whitelist decision rests on.
Why your own archive is not enough
Every community guards its own door. If a cheater is new to your server, the absence of a ban with you does not mean they are clean — it means you have not caught them yet. That gap, before the first catch, is exactly when you are least protected.
What is checked
- Whether the player is banned on other anti-cheat providers’ networks
- How many different servers ban them
- The reason and the date of each ban
- Network-wide (global) ban flag
- The servers the player has been seen in on that network
- Matched identifiers: license, Steam, FiveM ID and hardware IDs
What you cannot see — the honest limit
We never match on a name resemblance. Results appear only when a hard identifier (Discord ID, license, Steam, hardware ID) matches; "same name" is never accepted on its own. That is a deliberate call, made where false positives are most expensive: banning an innocent player costs more than missing a cheater for one more round.
How to use it in a whitelist decision
- Compare it against what the applicant claimed on their form.
- If another network bans them, ask directly: which server, which date, which reason.
- The same hardware ID across several accounts is a sign of account switching.
- Do not issue a permanent ban on a single record — combine it with your own evidence.
Where to look
- On the website: open any dossier — the cross-network record sits on the card next to the evidence.
- In Discord: run /lookup, then use the button under the result to open the cross-network record.
- On the free tier you see how many servers and how many records; the full breakdown opens with Premium.
