Data Protection Notice.
doc/kvkklast updated 2026-05-25lang en
1. Data Controller
Under Turkey's KVKK (Law 6698), Argos Project acts as the data controller and processes your personal data. This notice applies to Turkish residents.
2. Processed Data
- Discord user ID, username, global name
- Avatar URL
- Email address
- IP address (for audit log, 90 days)
3. Processing Purpose
- Service delivery and session management
- Premium membership tracking
- Security and abuse prevention
4. Legal Basis
Your account data (Discord ID, username, email) is processed on the basis of performance of a contract — it is what makes the service work. Security logs and the cheat/ban intelligence are processed under the legitimate interests of the data controller: letting server owners recognise people other communities have already recorded as harmful. That interest is balanced against the fundamental rights of the person concerned, which is why IP addresses are never sent to the client and why an appeal route exists.
5. Retention Periods
- Account data — for as long as the account exists; removed after a deletion request.
- IP address (audit log) — 90 days, then dropped automatically.
- Ban and membership records — for as long as the record retains intelligence value; reviewed on appeal.
- Session cookie — 30 minutes.
6. Transfers Abroad
The infrastructure is hosted outside Turkey: content delivery and attack filtering run on Cloudflare, web hosting on Hostinger, and the application server on a virtual server abroad. Authentication goes through Discord. Using the service necessarily involves transferring your data to the countries these providers operate in.
7. If You Are Recorded Without Being a User
Argos holds records not only for people who sign up, but for accounts that are publicly visible in monitored communities — ban records, server memberships and role information. If you are the subject of such a record you hold every right in this notice just the same. If you believe a record about you is wrong, you can contest it at /ban-appeal; the appeal is passed to the party that filed the record and reviewed.
8. Your Rights (KVKK Article 11)
- Learn whether your personal data is processed
- Request information about the processing
- Learn the purpose and whether the data is used accordingly
- Know the third parties it is transferred to, at home or abroad
- Request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate
- Request erasure or destruction where the conditions are met
- Request that corrections and erasures be notified to those third parties
- Object to a result reached against you solely by automated analysis
- Claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing
9. Making a Request
To exercise the rights above, contact the admin via Discord; to contest a record about you, use /ban-appeal. Requests are answered within 30 days. We may refuse a request where we cannot verify your identity, so as not to disclose someone else’s data to a third party.
